Using the proxy server
The proxy server of the institute has been reconfigured. As a result, electronic journals, databases etc. (until now available from the Institute only) can be accessed using an arbitrary computer.
The address of the proxy server is proxy.renyi.hu the corresponding port is 1456.
To use the proxy server you need a login name and a password. The login name is the same as the one used with your renyi account. The password may be set on the following web page: https://aura.renyi.hu/renyi-support/index.php
The password must be at least five characters long, and it should NOT be the same as the password corresponding to your account, since in the case of the proxy server the authentication goes through unsafe (not encoded) channels. After you set up the proxy, it can be used immediately. For security considerations in public places (e.g. internet-cafés, libraries) do NOT let the browser remember your password, and after use please delete the proxy settings.
